Holiday Update 12/31

Happy Holidays from Drew, Boggan and Gooch from the Sports Fix on 90.5 the Kat. We hope you all have a safe and prosperous 2009. We would like to announce some additions that will be coming in the next few weeks to the blog. We will be starting to post articles so many times per week from the three of us on sports topics that impact Sam Houston State, the State of Texas and huge stories in the world of sports overall.

We are also looking forward to bringing you many great interviews again in the Spring semester 2009. Our first show will be Wed. January 14th.

It will be a holiday recap show. We will talk about the bowl games as well as look at the NFL playoffs. In addition, we will talk about the coaches that have been let go in the NFL and where they might go. The show will also include NBA talk as the league will be 2 1/2 months in.

Of course we will talk Sam Houston State sports as well with men's and women's basketball and the direction each squad is headed as they start conference play. Of course we will assess the team's play during the break and their conference opener against SFA. We will also preview the Men's game that weekend (1/17) vs SLU which can be heard on 90.5 the Kat starting at 6:45pm.

So, tune into Sports Fix, every Wed. starting 1/14 from 3-6pm only on your source for Sam Houston State sports...90.5 'The Kat'.

NOTE: Also, our 2nd broadcast will be in association with the women's basketball game that evening at 6:30. Instead of leaving the airwaves as we have in the past 30 minutes early, we will stay on the air from the booth until 6:20 and then toss it to Johnson Coliseum for pregame. Drew will be in the booth leading you up to the broadcast of the game. Gooch and Boggan will broadcast the game from Johnson. We will be broadcasting 4 women's basketball games along with all the home baseball games to expand our coverage of Bearkats sports.

The Sports Fix - December 17, 2008

Hello listeners and Fix Freaks, Andrew here from the Sports Fix. Last week was Charlie and Kevin's final Sports Fix. They both have internships next semester that will prohibit them from fulfilling what be necessary to put on a great show for everyone. Thus, two new guys are stepping in along with myself for the Spring semester starting with our first show on the 14th of January. Listen to the Sports Fix tomorrow from 3-6 where I will have more information about next semester as well as tomorrow's show will be a 'semester in review.' A look back at all the interviews Charlie, Kevin and myself have done over the past 3+ months. That's tomorrow, from 3-6 on 90.5 the Kat.
